Me: Tru, is mommy cool?
Tru: Of course not.
Me: What? Why?
Tru: Because you’re mommy and mommy’s not s’posed to be cool.
Me: Says who? Mommies can be cool too right?
Tru: No, mommies cannot be cool.
Me: Oh well, I guess cool is overrated anyway.
Tru: Sometimes cool is good and sometimes cool is not good. But mommy is always good.
Me: Wow, how are you not even 4 years old? That is actually the sweetest thing I’ve heard all week.
Me: Ok how about daddy? Is daddy cool?
Tru: Yes, daddy is cool.
Me: So daddy is sometimes good and sometimes not good?
Tru: Daddy is super cool and super good.
Me: And you are super biased. I’m giving you and your super cool daddy bread and water for dinner tonight.

Its so unfair isn’t it? Sophia’s daddy is always not even around, has cleaned maybe a grand total of 3 rounds of poop and doesn’t know what Sophia has for her 3 meals but does Sophia love daddy? nod. Does Sophia love mummy? shake. I’m still sore after 3 days.
I think you’re a cool and super good mum :)

I think daddies have a different dynamic with the kids, which makes them cooler. Plus the fact that I’m with them all day so I have to do the nagging and saying no to all the cool stuff like a gummy and ice-cream overdose.
That stings! Well at least mummy’s still got the good if not cool part :) I’ll take that and run before he changes his mind!

That is true! Haha who needs cool anyway..
Let me guess, Daddy is rolling, tumbling and wrestles with Tru.
That is the way guys bond with their kids wahaha.

Yes exactly! He does the wrestling and soccer and flinging him in the air, which I suppose is much cooler than bathing and feeding and making them take naps
Looks like all mothers get this at some point in life!
I think so too!
