out of the box

Fever started long ago.

I just spent the last 2 days battling the worst fever of my life. No, I didn’t die from being electrocuted. Instead, I developed a nasty infection thanks to the blocked ducts (again), which is possibly worse than being jolted by electricity. I just spent the last 48 hours like a zombie, alternating between shivering and perspiring buckets.

I’m too stoned to blog right now, so here are a few photos to keep you entertained. Pics courtesy of Aunty Jan during our Sunday brunch at Hatched.

Cheeks are full as usual

The one good thing that came out of this debacle is that I’ve finally lost enough weight to fit into my old jeans. Ok, so it used to be my fat jeans (for when I’ve eaten too much KFC), but at least it’s my first pair without an elastic waistband in 2 years. So yay, I guess.

I can so totally visualize the “cheeks are full as usual” part. Almost makes my earlier question “Hey Dap, is your vacuum cleaner at home working?” – redundant.

All said and done, your boy’s awesome. And i had the chat of my life with your baby in the bumbo chair the other day. Heart melt cell.

On a side note, Ver just finished the first 1 hr session of baby plus. It drove us nuts, couldn’t see myself witnessing another (twice daily, 7 times a week, for the next 16 weeks) session.

    Lastly, more comics pls :)

Dealing with a blocked duct infection sounds incredibly painful and exhausting. It’s a reminder of how quickly an illness can knock us off our feet and make even basic tasks seem impossible. It’s great to hear there was a small silver lining, though—fitting into old jeans can be a nice boost, even if it’s from such a tough experience. Wishing a speedy recovery!
